Keeping your Parent Portal information up to date helps ensure you can continue to view your student’s grades, attendance, schedules, and other important school information.

We are pleased to announce that Jasper City Schools is the first district to be recognized at the High Reliability School Summit for certifying as Marzano High Reliability Schools Level 3. We are very proud of the hard work from each school’s administration, faculty, students, and parents.

Marzano Level 3 Certification refers to achieving mastery in the "Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum" stage within the Marzano High Reliability Schools (HRS) framework, a five-level system for school transformation focusing on research-based practices to ensure student success, requiring schools to create a single, coherent curriculum taught consistently across all teachers to guarantee every student learns essential content. Certification involves data-driven assessment, proactive steps like implementing proficiency scales and vocabulary instruction, and validation by Marzano Resources experts.

Key Aspects of Marzano Level 3:

Focus: Implementing a "Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum" (GVC) that ensures all students learn core content and skills.

Process: Developing and implementing a single, common curriculum for all teachers, ensuring consistency.

Strategies: Utilizing tools like proficiency scales (outlining simpler to complex content), direct instruction in vocabulary, and metacognitive skills.

Goal: To proactively prevent failure and ensure all students have the opportunity to master grade-level material.
